An Honorable Life

James 4 :17

"Remember, it is sin to KNOW what you ought to do and THEN not do it."

This verse just keeps jumping out at me this week. I find myself examining my heart constantly making sure that I am saying and doing the right things and making, as I tell my children, GOOD decisions... the loving and right thing to do.

So, today I challenge you to examine your own heart, look deep inside yourself, and make sure you are a shining light into the world.

We need to be Christ like in everything we do ... seeking wisdom from God.

Put others first and love one another with pure hearts.

TRUE wisdom comes from God!!!

James 3:14

"If you are wise and understand God's ways, PROVE IT by living an honorable life.."

WOW!! God tells us directly to PROVE ourselves in our actions, decisions, attitude, AND works!!! That's often much easier said then done! So, I challenge myself and each one who reads this to look inside your hearts today and TRY IT!! Walk out a Christ like life in everything we do to be a light to the world and shine into the darkness that surrounds us!!

MOPS is Coming to Northpoint Church!!!

I have been so busy the past couple weeks trying to get that buzz going for our newest ministry at our church that I will be headin' up!! Here is what we are doing so far...

Facebook 'fan' or 'like' page...

Gathering our committee people

Doing and Posting fun activities to do at home with your kids

"Golden Nuggets" or "Food For Thought" for all our mommy needs!!

Anyway, here is one of our springtime activities!! What kid doesn't LOVE to paint!!?? It's CHEAP, AND RECYCLED!!

STUFF YOU NEED:

acrylic paints in various colors

well rinsed and dried juice box container

several different sized brushes

newspaper to cover your table

and excited kids!! :)

STEPS:

cover your work area, lay out a pallette of paint colors, and let your kids paint away!! The only hazard to this activity are the messy hands and the staining on the clothes... but both things are easily fixed. Just make sure your kids wear OLD clothes and have baby wipes readily available or just wash when you're done!!

After they are all dry let your kids go outside and pick their flowers to put inside. Fill the small container half way with water, add your flowers and WAH-LAH!! You have a hand painted, recycled, made with love vase for your kitchen window or maybe for grandma on Mother's Day!!

Every mommy or grandma LOVES something made from tiny little hands and is full of LOVE!! Hope you try this at home and make sure to have your camera handy to catch the excitement!!

BRAINSTORMINESS :) AT LEAST THAT'S WHAT I'M CALLIN' THIS PAST WEEK!!

So this past week has been brainstorming craziness!!! Lovin' IT tho!! I gotta say just being able to create things and get my artsy side flowing is My Cup A Tea!! So, after I updated my blog a bit.. well, let's just say it was EASY compared to my website!! UUGGHH!! Although I enjoyed it quite a lot.. well, there were definitely moments of complete distress!! LOL :) I think I'm pretty happy and pleased with the way it looks for my first go with a site all on my own. I'm just hoping now that I linked my personal domain name to it correctly.. I HOPE :/ Gotta wait a couple days to check on it again!! But, it will be easy to find me once it's linked correctly...

WEll, I've also been workin on incorporating / beginning / launching / a MOPS group for my church!! Northpoint Church you guys are AWESOME!!! I NEVER DREAMED IN A MILLION YEARS I WOULD FEEL SO AT HOME AND WELCOMED AND LOVED AND PART OF SUCH A GREAT AND AWESOME FAMILY!!

Anyways... I have now started and launched the NP Church MOPS 'like' or 'fan' page(as on FACEBOOK to get the BUZZ goin' and the word out so our moms and all the moms around us in the community can plan on coming!! In the meantime I'm gonna be busy posting stuff on our page and would LOVE IT if you and your friends would come by and visit.. leave a little wisdom .. and plan on joining us.. AT LEAST pass on the word!!

I'm so very blessed to have a wonderful hubby, loving and healthy kids, and an awesome support of friends!!!

So, I HAVE been working and editing wedding pictures I had the pleasure of photographing back in July. Don't worry Katie, I didn't forget about you!! This was SO much fun for me!! Take a look at this precious little one I got the honor of taking pictures of this week ..she is almost a month old already!! And when we wanted her sleeping she wanted to be awake and she was quite a mover!! But, after some time and patience she finally went back to sleep.

WELL .. ACTUALLY IT WAS A 'JUNGLE TOUR' ON WAVERUNNERS OUT IN TO THE OCEAN AND THEN WE GOT OFF TO SNORKEL ONE OF THE WORLD'S LARGEST CORAL REEFS! ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING!!!

I COULDA STAYED ALL DAY!!!!!

I CAN'T IMAGINE HOW AWESOME THE PICTURES COULD BE WITH A GOOD DIGITAL CAMERA UNDER WATER :)

Well.. just as I promised here are some more pics of our wonderful time :) I could really use some more about now!

Playtime in the water ..

strange how the water sometimes looked SO blue and depending on the angle and refection it looked green .. absolutely breathtaking!!

so.. i can't possibly describe this pool .. maybe i should blog just about this part! hee hee :)

this was the main pool area with swim up bar and food .. bubbling jacuzzis in various places and waterfalls & a bridge so you can get to the other side a little easier!

yeah ... it's another BLOG all itself :)

soooo clear all the way to the bottom .. we could still see our feet!!!!
